Rain or shine, we'll be there!! We just LOVE
Haweater Weekend and every year we can't wait to go back. Here's a bit about the
event"
Each year during the August civic holiday, Haweater
Weekend offers four days of family fun: concerts, dances, craft shows and sales, reunions,
parade, fireworks and children's rides and games. "Haweater" is the affectionate
name given an Island-born resident, and refers to the hawberry, the scarlet fruit of
hawthorne trees. The big weekend is organized by the Lions Club of Little Current.

This is a weekend long event that for the most part,
takes place outdoors. On Saturday we'll be set up at the Recreation Center just
outside of Little Current on your way out to Sheguiandah (it's just on your right hand
side as you go out of town). On Sunday we'll be set up right on the Main Street in
Little Current. Just look for the waterfront on Sunday and that's where you'll find
us.
