This crystal absolutely comes alive when the light hits it just right! 
 
It's like there is a hidden surprise with this particular crystal.  Normally, it's a mix of very dark blues and lighter, soft blues, accented with earthy and white sections.  It looks totally different when you hold it up to the sunshine, and suddenly? KAPOW! The blues!!  I've taken a few photos so you can really see the deep richness this piece of blue Apatite has. It's neon blue and so vibrant!  This is one of those pieces you keep turning around just to see what the next angle does.  As this is a wide crystal, the light goes through certain sections of it better than others. 
 
Measuring 1¼ inches tall by 1¼ inches wide and just under ½ inch deep, this is a raw, natural and completely unpolished Blue Apatite crystal. The surface still has all of its natural texture, which makes it especially lovely if you enjoy jewelry you can actually feel and explore with your fingers instead of something polished completely smooth.  This type of stone can be wonderfully helpful if you need tactile touch points during your day to keep you centred.

Blue Apatite Care
 
Blue Apatite is a naturally softer gemstone, measuring around 5 on the Mohs hardness scale. Because this pendant is made with a raw, unpolished Blue Apatite crystal, the natural edges and surface texture should be treated with a little extra care.
 
To help protect your Apatite jewellery, avoid dropping or knocking the crystal against hard surfaces and try not to store it loose with other gemstones or metal jewellery that could scratch or chip the stone. When you are not wearing your pendant, keep it in a soft pouch or separate jewelry box compartment.
 
Avoid ultrasonic cleaners, steam cleaners, harsh chemical jewellery cleaners, bleach, acids and abrasive products. Prolonged soaking is also not recommended. Blue Apatite can be sensitive to rough treatment, and the natural surface of a raw crystal can be more vulnerable than a polished gemstone.
 
To clean your raw Apatite pendant, gently wipe the crystal with a soft, lightly dampened cloth, then dry it carefully. If dirt settles into the natural texture, use a very soft brush with light pressure rather than scrubbing.  An artist's paintbrush can be a helpful tool here - avoid the toothbrush!
 
Because this pendant is handcrafted with sterling silver wire, the silver may naturally darken or develop patina over time. A silver polishing cloth can be used carefully on the wire, but avoid rubbing polishing compounds directly onto the Apatite crystal.
