Is labradorite the same as spectrolite?

They are closely related but not exactly the same. Spectrolite is a particularly fine and vivid variety of labradorite found only in Finland, known for displaying the full colour spectrum in exceptionally brilliant flashes. All spectrolite is labradorite but not all labradorite is spectrolite. Both are extraordinary and the difference is essentially one of degree rather than kind.

Why does my labradorite look different in different light?

That is labradorescence doing exactly what it is supposed to do and it is one of the most magical qualities of this stone. The colours you see depend entirely on the angle at which light enters the stone and the angle from which you are looking at it. Move the stone slightly and an entirely different colour may appear.
