Some things are meant to be worn close to your heart.

Every piece of art jewelry I create is hand-drawn and painted.  ​These Mandala wood pendants aren't mass-produced. They aren't printed by a machine or created in a factory. They begin in my art studio here in the heart of Northern Ontario, Canada.  It all starts with a moment of inspiration, a paintbrush in one hand, a cup of coffee close by.  (I will admit, I do love a great cup of java!) And with that begins the soothing rhythm of creating something beautiful, one tiny dot or swoop at a time.  And yes, I do happen to be wearing 2 pairs of glasses in the photo to the left.  As the years move on, I'm finding that I need a bit of magnification to paint tiny areas.

Every Mandala dot art pendant starts off with a circle of smooth wood. From there, the design grows as colours, patterns, and shapes unfold with every brushstroke. Each and every piece of art develops in its own way, which means no two are ever quite exactly alike.  ​When your art pendant arrives, you will be holding the only one like it in the world.

More Than a Beautiful Pattern

Across many cultures, mandalas and similar patterns have symbolized wholeness, balance, and the interconnectedness of life. As I paint, the repetitive rhythm of placing each tiny dot becomes a meditative practice. It is one of the most peaceful parts of my day, and many customers have shared that they feel a sense of calm and joy when they wear or hold one of my pieces of art. (Honestly, that makes me ridiculously happy to hear this!)  ​

The Details

• Hand painted using acrylic paint on wood.  

• Lightweight and comfortable to wear (approx. 8 to 10 grams).

• Gloss varnished for protection but not waterproof. Please keep your pendant dry and wipe it gently with a soft cloth. Don't swim with it or bathe. 

• Pendant sizes begin at 2 inches. Full details are always listed with the artwork.

• Bails are handmade for each pendant.

• Arrives ready to wear on the necklace you choose when ordering.

• Can I get a custom piece made just for me? At this time, our selection is what we have available. It takes several weeks for each piece to be ready due to design work, painting time, curing and varnish drying.
