Inspired by the splash of colour you see when you discover the blue jays outside playing in the snow, this one of a kind hand-painted mandala is all about that joyful playfulness of the Jay.
I've used varying shades of lighter to darker blues and painted the patterns almost like the way the wing feathers open as they take flight into the air. I've left a lot of darker spaces in this particular pendant to reflect upon the darker night sky during winter. That burst of colour you get with the flying jays is truly a treasure to behold and a reminder of brighter days to come.
Measuring 2 inches in diameter by 1/4 inch deep, it has been painted on a sanded flat disc of smooth birch wood. The bail is handmade using silver plate artisan wire with a copper inner core. As this is a piece of artwork, it is not recommended to wear in the water. Please keep dry. You can choose to have your pendant on a long knotted cord or a leather cord with a clasp when ordering.
