This piece of calcite has been semi-polished and it has a stunning pattern that really catches the eye when you wear it.  There are smooth surfaces and really interesting textured areas that are very interesting.   Your gemstone measures 1 1/4 inches tall by 1 inch wide and I have hand-wrapped it using silver artisan wire.  This wire is silver-plated with an inner copper core and is highly tarnish-resistant.  When you hold your pendant up to the light, you can really see the intense banding this gemstone has. 
 
Calcite is a softer gemstone crystal.  It is a 3 on the Mohs hardness scale, so I would suggest when you are taking it off and not wearing it, put it somewhere safe where it won't fall onto a hard surface.  (Bathroom counters can be especially hard on crystals).
