Your polished Black Tourmaline has a smooth, palm-sized shape that feels lovely to hold, with enough natural texture to give your fingers something to explore as you turn it in your hand. Warm brown mineral markings travel through parts of the glossy black surface.  You can see a lot of character and unique markings as you hold it and turn it in the light.  There are sections for your fingers and thumb to slide into and across, making this a spectacular specimen to hold.

When Black Tourmaline is polished, the smoother areas take on that beautiful glossy finish, but the stone does not always become perfectly even. Tiny pockets, natural fractures and softer mineral areas can lift away during the polishing process, leaving behind little pits, nooks and crannies. Those marks are part of the crystal’s story.
