I also handcraft the clasp into a simple hook that slips easily into the bail at the opposite end, making it easy to put on and take off.

How to measure your wrist:  A fabric measuring tape is best, but if you don't have one, use a piece of string or cord.  Go around the widest part of your wrist where you naturally would wear a bracelet, but keep the string loose.  Gemstones can be large and will need a little extra space, so when you place the string down to measure on a ruler, add a bit of length - about 1/4 inch.
