After dark, the garden belongs to the thorns. The roses are still there, but it’s the briars that hold the gate.
Your Thorn & Briar bracelet takes its colours from that hour. Glossy, deeply black Hematine beads sit inside dark copper flower caps, with flashes of raspberry deep reddish pink between them like the last roses you can make out in the dusk. Bright copper links curl between the beads like stems threading their way through the hedge.
There’s a reason iron belongs in this story. Think of an old iron garden gate, still standing after years of wind and weather. That’s the kind of strength iron can symbolise: holding your ground and deciding what gets through. Your Hematine beads are manmade, and it’s that old symbolism of iron that gives your bracelet its grounding, protective character.
Hedgerow is the garden in bloom. Thorn & Briar is what happens when you stay past sundown. They belong to the same Enchanted Heirloom Collection, with bright copper beside dark floral details and the feeling of a story you could have stepped into a hundred years ago.
Size: This bracelet fits wrists between 7 and 7 1/2 inches. I have added a handcrafted extender you can loop into for this extra size. If you don't need it, that tiny loop adds a nice dangle to your bracelet. There is a good weight to your bracelet.
A bit about your jewelry: Every section of your bracelet is individually shaped and connected by hand, creating an exceptionally flexible bracelet that moves naturally with your wrist. I've also handcrafted the clasp, fastening hoop, and small extender, giving you a little flexibility when adjusting the fit.
How to measure your wrist: A fabric measuring tape is best, but if you don't have one, use a piece of string or cord. Go around the widest part of your wrist where you naturally would wear a bracelet, but keep the string loose. Gemstones can be large and will need a little extra space, so when you place the string down to measure on a ruler, add a bit of length - about 1/4 inch.
Safety Note: Your bracelet contains slightly magnetic Hematine. Magnets may interfere with pacemakers, implanted defibrillators and certain other medical devices. Please consult your healthcare provider before wearing magnetic jewellery if you have an implanted medical device. Please keep your bracelet dry and don't wear in water.
A note about copper jewelry: Copper is a beautiful metal, and while this copper is coated to slow oxidation, it will naturally deepen in colour over time, developing a unique patina that reflects how it's been worn and loved. I don’t rush this transformation with harsh chemicals. Instead, I allow each piece to evolve in its own time, forming soft, rich tones of bronze, chestnut, and sometimes even hints of green. If you prefer to keep your copper bright, you can gently polish it with a soft cloth or jewelry-safe pad.

Hematine is a manmade, iron-rich material created by pressing and heating iron oxides with other minerals. It is then shaped and polished into glossy metallic beads. Unlike natural Hematite, Hematine is manufactured rather than mined.
Magnetic Safety Warning: Hematine contains magnetic properties that may interfere with pacemakers, implanted defibrillators and other medical devices. Consult your healthcare provider before wearing magnetic jewellery if you have an implanted medical device.
