It is flat on the front, you can see the amazing etching patterns on the main face of the crystals and to several other flat sections. This is a natural crystal so it's important to understand that there are nooks and crannies and nicks and bumps everywhere. It is raw and full of so many characteristics. There is a slanted edge on the back which leads to a deeply grooved section located there. The crystal thins and then widens back out again.
