This is a gorgeous large piece of Sodalite that is from Bancroft Ontario. It has tremendous personality, patterns and colours that range from rich intense blues, to darker almost black areas and vibrant patterns of whites. It is a stunning polished crystal that is 1 3/4 inches tall by over 1 1/4 across and almost 1/2 inch wide on the curved section of your crystal. surface. There is a very good weight to this gemstone. It is a magnificent and original crystal and really amazing with the fantastic patterns you can see. 
 
This piece has been hand-wrapped using sterling silver wire.  These crystals and their beauty are in limited supply.
 
A bit of history about your crystal: In the year 1901 the Princess of Wales was given a piece of stone from this mine and she simply fell in love with its beauty. Arrangements were made to quarry enough of this gem to decorate her residence in London England (called the Marlborough House.) This is how the Princess Sodalite Mine found its name.
