Sweetgrass is used to bring positive healing energy to your home, yourself and working spaces. Send your prayers to the universe on the smoke of this grass as it's burning. Burn the end of the braid carefully to use the beautiful-smelling smoke for purification and cleansing. Sweetgrass does need a bit of work to burn as it smoulders and then requires being lit again. Use the braid to cleanse your crystals and crystal jewelry.
Sweetgrass has the most incredibly beautiful vanilla-like scent. I waited until Fall to harvest the sweetgrass so you will notice areas of lighter and darker grasses. You will find some browns as well. I waited as the patch was dealing with a lot of heat this year and I did not want to do any harvesting until it was later in the season. They were hand braided with a bit of a wind blowing, under the beautiful blue fall sky. So they are not perfect.
You can also hang the braid in your space just for the beautiful scent or tuck it into your ritual box to use to cleanse the space you are working in.

Where your Sweetgrass was grown
The patch your sweetgrass comes from has been grown ethically and organically in a pesticide-free garden. I am far from city dwellers who spray their yards with weed killers and honestly, I prefer to have dandelions for the bees anyway. The plant was not damaged during picking as the roots were left intact to ensure the continued growth of the herbs.
I have hand-cut your herbs and carefully packaged them one at a time. I can almost guarantee that there may be a piece of grass that does not belong, a tiny critter may have been hiding (as this is a totally organic patch). This patch of sweetgrass has been growing for over 10 years now and was started by individual plants we planted in our own sacred gardens. We have allowed the plant to self-seed other parts of the yard and the scents in the summer are just incredible.
