Handcrafted with great care, these earthy skull bone earrings feature miniature skull beads carved from genuine Tibetan Yak bone. Each one is unique, full of character. 
 
These tiny skulls came from a vintage strand of beads from a collection belonging to a very old friend of mine.  I have decided to bring them out and create a few pieces of jewelry with these amazing little beads.  
 
Wrapped in sterling silver wire and finished with sterling silver ear hooks, they dangle just 1 inch.  They are quite lightweight.  A shimmering white Swarovski crystal adds a delicate sparkle, balancing the ancient, natural energy of the bone with a flash of light.
 
In Tibetan tradition, Yak bone is used in spiritual practices as a symbol of impermanence, a reminder to live with purpose, to honour each moment, and to stay connected to the wisdom of nature.
