Measuring 1 1/2 inches tall by over 1 inch wide, your Ammonite fossil is truly a unique beauty! It is very highly polished and AAA-grade and has a good weight to it.  The surface is smooth to the touch and you'll also discover a few natural areas for your fingers to get to know. As you move the pendant you can see some of the areas that have a more textured surface.
 
As you turn it in the light, you will find the stunning vibrant red fire and dashes of green that sparkles in the sunbeams.  In the center of the fossil, you can see some of the original Moroccan earth that still resides.  I have cleaned your pendant using a sonic cleaner so bring out more of the intense fire you see.

Ammonites are extinct marine animals that are approximately 400 million years old.  The rich deep colours are natural and around the center, you can see hints of the opal colours (Ammolite) that have been created over the centuries. These hints of colours are due to the micro-structure of aragonite that comes from the layers upon layers of thin platelets that make up the fossil.
