Inspired by the last glowing embers of a campfire, when brilliant oranges begin to soften into gentle grays, I painted this mandala as a reminder of those peaceful moments when the day slowly comes to an end.
The sky is growing darker, the campfire is settling into its final glow, and the first stars are beginning to appear overhead. Frogs call from the shoreline, crickets sing their evening song, and the world seems to slow all around you. It's the kind of moment that invites you to breathe a little deeper and simply enjoy where you are.
I painted this pendant to capture that feeling of winding down after a day well lived. Its warm red oranges, charcoal, and white tones for the stars reflect the fading light of the fire, creating a piece that feels both comforting and timeless.
The necklace you see is the exact one you'll receive. I hope it reminds you to pause now and then, appreciate life's simple moments, and carry a little of that campfire calm wherever you go. It is signed on the back.
Size and Materials:
Measuring 2 inches in diameter and 1/4 inch thick, your pendant is painted on a carefully prepared natural birch wood disc. The handcrafted bail is created from gold-plated artisan wire.
How is it sealed?
Once the paint on your art pendant has fully dried, several coats of water-based varnish are applied to keep your artwork protected and vibrant for years to come.
How to wear it:
When ordering, choose the type of necklace you prefer wearing. The corded necklace with a clasp comes in a variety of lengths (or you can custom order your own size by sending a note with your order) and it has a clasp. Or you can pick a longer knotted cord that will slip over your head. Also, you can just order it without a necklace if you have your own to put it on.
Looking after your Pendant
Your pendant was hand-painted and finished with a protective coating before leaving my studio. To help preserve its vibrant colours, remove it before swimming, showering, or using household cleaners, and avoid prolonged exposure to water and direct sunlight.
When your pendant isn't being worn, store it in a dry place where it won't rub against other jewelry. If needed, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth.
Treat it with the same care you would any treasured piece of handmade art, and it will continue to brighten your days for years to come.
