Inspired by the beautiful wildflowers that brighten Northern Ontario each summer, this one of a kind hand painted pendant captures the joyful spirit of a Black-eyed Susan in full bloom.
The center begins with a single golden yellow dot and moves outwards in a soothing patterns with lighter and darker shades of blue. Accented with metallic gold, this pendant has a shimmer when the light hits it just right. The outer section is an alternating band of light and darker blues that move to the edges of the pendant so that the artwork can be viewed from the sides as well. The back has been signed.
Rather than painting the flower exactly as it appears in nature, I chose to capture that feeling of the bright golden petals as they move in the breezes of a memorable summer day. Every single detail has been painted slowly and carefully on a 2-inch round birch wood disc that is 1/4 inch wide.
A little more info about your necklace:
Once the paint on your art pendant has fully dried, several coats of water-based varnish are applied to keep your artwork protected and vibrant for years to come. The bail is handmade using silver plated artisan wire.
How to wear it:
You can choose the length of necklace you prefer when ordering. You can choose to have it on a corded necklace with a clasp OR a longer knotted necklace that will slip over your head.
Looking after your Pendant
Your pendant was hand-painted and finished with a protective coating before leaving my studio. To help preserve its vibrant colours, remove it before swimming, showering, or using household cleaners, and avoid prolonged exposure to water and direct sunlight.
When your pendant isn't being worn, store it in a dry place where it won't rub against other jewelry. If needed, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth.
Treat it with the same care you would any treasured piece of handmade art, and it will continue to brighten your days for years to come.

What is a Mandala?
A mandala is a circular design built from repeating patterns that radiate outward from a central point. Found in many cultures throughout history, mandalas have long been admired for their beauty and are often used as a focus for meditation, creativity, and personal reflection.
Many people find that simply following the flowing patterns with their eyes encourages them to slow down, take a deep breath, and enjoy a peaceful moment.
Why Wear a Mandala Pendant?
Every mandala pendant I create is painted by hand, one tiny detail at a time, making each piece completely unique. Whether you're drawn to the colours, inspired by nature, or simply appreciate handcrafted artwork, a mandala pendant is a beautiful way to carry a little creativity with you each day.Wear it as a reminder to pause, stay present, and notice the beauty that surrounds you, even on the busiest days.
