Inspired by the timeless beauty of folk style stained glass, your one of a kind hand painted pendant comes alive with rich jewel tones, graceful curves, and intricate details that invite you to look a little closer. Every tiny brushstroke adds another layer of colour, creating a design that seems to glow against its dramatic midnight black background.
The centre begins with a shimmering snowflake white and radiates outwards with pinks and dreamy orange shades. Then bursts into pattern with purples, pinks and greens. Everything is accented with soothing whites and then shimmering layers of pearl paints. Even the side of your pendant has been painted, and the back has been signed.
The pattern draws inspiration from traditional folk art found around the world, where vibrant colours, repeating shapes, and careful craftsmanship come together to celebrate creativity and joy in beautiful patterns and shapes.
Size:
Every single detail has been painted slowly and carefully on a 2-inch round birch wood disc that is 1/4 inch wide.
A little more info about your necklace:
Once the paint on your art pendant has fully dried, several coats of water-based varnish are applied to keep your artwork protected and vibrant for years to come. The bail is handmade using silver-plated wire.
How to wear it:
You can choose the length of necklace you prefer when ordering. You can choose to have it on a corded necklace with a clasp OR a longer knotted necklace that will slip over your head.
Looking after your Pendant
Your pendant was hand-painted and finished with a protective coating before leaving my studio. To help preserve its vibrant colours, remove it before swimming, showering, or using household cleaners, and avoid prolonged exposure to water and direct sunlight.
When your pendant isn't being worn, store it in a dry place where it won't rub against other jewelry. If needed, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth.
Treat it with the same care you would any treasured piece of handmade art, and it will continue to brighten your days for years to come.
