There is something captivating about the colour blue. It can remind you of clear summer skies stretching to the horizon, sparkling lakes reflecting the morning sun, or peaceful moments spent surrounded by nature.
 
This one of a kind hand painted wooden necklace was created to capture that feeling.
 
Working one tiny brushstroke and dot at a time, the design gradually grew from the centre until layers of rich blues, soft whites, and delicate details came together into an original piece of wearable art. No pattern was traced and no machine created it. The necklace you see here is the exact piece of artwork you will receive.  And it is signed on the back.  
 
Some people are drawn to the intricate mandala design, while others simply fall in love with the colours. As your eye follows the painted details outward, you'll discover new patterns, depth, and movement with every look. It's a piece that invites you to slow down for just a moment and appreciate the beauty found in handcrafted art.  There is even a few patterns on the side of the pendant.  You can see from the brushstrokes that it is truly hand-painted and unique.   This can also complement someone who is creating a bohemian boho style wardrobe and looking for shades of blue and a unique piece of jewelry to wear.  
 
Size and Materials:
Measuring 2 inches in diameter and 1/4 inch thick, your pendant is painted on a carefully prepared natural birch wood disc. The handcrafted bail is created from rose silver-plated artisan wire.
 
How is it sealed?
Once the paint on your art pendant has fully dried, several coats of water-based varnish are applied to keep your artwork protected and vibrant for years to come.   
 
How to wear it: 
When ordering, choose the type of necklace you prefer wearing.  The corded necklace with a clasp comes in a variety of lengths (or you can custom order your own size by sending a note with your order) and it has a clasp.  Or you can pick a longer knotted cord that will slip over your head.  Also, you can just order it without a necklace if you have your own to put it on.  
 
Looking after your Pendant
Your pendant was hand-painted and finished with a protective coating before leaving my studio. To help preserve its vibrant colours, remove it before swimming, showering, or using household cleaners, and avoid prolonged exposure to water and direct sunlight.
 
When your pendant isn't being worn, store it in a dry place where it won't rub against other jewelry. If needed, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth.  
 
Treat it with the same care you would any treasured piece of handmade art, and it will continue to brighten your days for years to come.
